Today we'll show you the Amsterdam headquarters of ING or a "boot-house" how it's usually called due to its shape. It is one of the
most expensive buildings in the Netherlands? it was built in 2001 under
the project of Meyer en Van Schooten studio.
The building of the bank was designed in a way that none of its walls
forms a straight angle with a neighbouring one. The architects rejected
the idea of a box shape peculiar to most office buildings. Critics
compare it with a giant sand castle and its fans correlate it with the
Inca architecture. The main motif of its decoration - flowing water.
Sounds of waterfalls and fountains make a calming effect. In the yard
there are many gardens.
The building stands on piles 9-12,5 m high.
Gate to the underground parking lot.
Cosy and light, many plants inside.
