Arromanches-les-Bains or just Arromanches is a place situated near the coast, approximately 25 km northwest of Caen. So what is on this place so special. When I first saw this title, I had no idea.
So I dug a bit to found it out. Arromanches is the place where the Normandy landings took place on the 6 June 1944. So called D-Day.
This Allied invasion of Normandy was called Operation Overlord or Operation Neptune during the World War II. As you can see on the pictures bellow, the place maintain its memories on this happening on the coast and in the museums.
